30 Days of Prayer and Fating - Suggested Schedule for Days 29 and 30.
For our final 2 days, in your prayers, celebrate and praise God for all He is doing in your life and in our church! We are grateful He continues to answer our prayers. Be considerate and lean on Him for all understanding and grace.
Sunday, May 16 - 1 Peter 1:13 - 1 Peter 2:12
Each week we’ve started with this passage and expanded it a little further. Notice here, the church is being built. Not with physical stones, but a new “spiritual house”, one that includes you as one of its “living stones.” The Church is not our building or property or location - the Church is wherever the believer, the temple of the Holy Spirit, stands. That would be you! God has called you to do amazing things! Pray about how God will use you now as a part of His Church, and prepare your mind for action!
Monday, May 17 - 1 Thessalonians 5:12-18
vv. 17 says “pray continually” (NIV). Normally, we hear it quoted “pray without ceasing.” Today marks the end of a short season of directed prayer in our church, however, prayer must continue. We have 2 other directed prayer times coming from now through the end of summer. But do not take a break in your own life. Pray continually, talk to God about everything, be in His word daily and be prepared for His daily direction in your life. Pray for your oikos, our church, our community, our city and our world. And put your trust in Jesus Christ, giving thanks in all circumstances...
